'Misfits of Science' the video game?

Ever since mentioning this over at our MoS forum, I've been enamoured with the idea of helping put together a retro-style video game of Misfits of Science. The consensus is that it should be done how a computer game would have been like had it been made during when the show was airing in '85/'86. Bit more authentic that way. This means of course: 16 bit visuals and synth chip music - but hey, that's a fave style of mine, even these days, so I'm happy :D

We knocked around some different ideas, and everybody came up with some great suggestions for gameplay and storyline and whatnot. And now I can totally picture how nifty it would be to have a completed downloadable fangame, created for anyone who mourns the absence of an official MoS game!

The only problem is that we don't seem to have any members who have the opportunity and practise to handle the graphics and progamming :( So if anyone can fill that role and offer those services to the project, please contact me.

Kevin Peter Hall fan-art

These are some drawings/tracings of Kevin Peter Hall, made by a huge fan of him from Malaysia (in the early part of 2010, when she was 15/16-years-old). I like these, they're really nice, and I like the fact that Kevin can still make such an impression on us fans that, even years after his work, we still want to go through creative effort for him.

She's also done some of Michael Jackson (in 2009), these are two of my favorites:

And as a special request for her, if you knew Kevin Peter Hall or met him or took a picture with him, could you please share your stories/memories with this huge fan of his, she'd really enjoy hearing about how he was in person. Her email is: penang.girl@yahoo.com

"Under the Serious Moonlight" - Enterprise/Ian Westbury fanfic

I was delighted to find this little fic - someone else did something creative off of Fierce Blue Ascot too, yah! Quite wickedly genius of them to cross it over with Enterprise, I must say :D
Read it here
Just for the sheer unique factor it makes for a good read, but I was impressed by the easy writing style and copious amount of detail it has also, I found myself enjoying it beyond just the novelty. Of course, being a big Bowie-nut helped it tick all the boxes for me too. Now I'm happily picturing the flamboyant Ian Westbury strutting out of Lt Reed's armoury...

"Another Battlefield" - War of the Worlds fanfic

What I like about this particular fic is that, even though it's one of the 'Ironhorse didn't get killed off' stories, it masterfully accomplishes this without requiring The Second Season not to have happened. A big feat indeed! It maintains the occurrence of ALL 43 episodes, and even explains certain things in "The Second Wave" that otherwise irritate me (behaviour during the clone confrontation). The story gives good reconciliation and closure for any fan who just couldn't take the death scene of their hero.
Read it here
It's nicely written and well paced, very visceral (I read it all in one sitting, I couldn't stop), and I thoroughly enjoyed the 'new' characters (Jem and Littlehawk) - I could easily picture how Richard Chaves would shine as them had this been a filmed episode.
